This is a single serving recipe. Seeing how I eat steel cut oats and chia everyday, it can get a bit monotonous. To keep breakfast interesting, I make all kinds of variations, but this one just might be my favorite!
1/4 cup steel cut oats
1Tbsp chia seeds
1 cup brewed green tea (or water)
1 tsp honey
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1/2 apple – cored and finely chopped
I’m a small sauce pan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil while stirring to prevent sticking. Allow to boil for about 5 minutes. Continue to stir. Turn heat to low and continue cooking for about 20 minutes or until the oats are tender and the liquid is absorbed.
